Introduction

“Today specializations no longer exist, and being and being a designer is a liquid activity, in constant change and always interconnected”. Parco Scientifico e Tecnologico Galileo Scpa is a training organization accredited by the Veneto Region for the field of higher education and, through its Education Department SID - Scuola Italiana Design, offers the three-year course in Industrial Design and Product Communication. The new SID curriculum has been designed to give the student the opportunity to develop a thinking capable of expanding. Ettore Sottsass affirmed that before placing the pencil on the drawing sheet, one must learn to think, and Achille Castiglioni said that if you were not curious it was better to leave it alone. From these two statements the cue was taken to generate a new didactic plan, which mixes technical, practical, humanistic, social and economic subjects. The three years are carried out under the banner of interdisciplinarity, culture and practice, also opening up to the possibilities offered by digital technology, which has contributed to breaking down the boundaries between two and three dimensions.
