Upon successful completion of this programme, learners will receive an ETDP SETA Statement of Results outlining the unit standards covered in Assessment and credits achieved. All competent assessors must obtain a Statement of Results from the ETDP SETA and then register with one or more SETAs in their field of expertise before conducting assessments.
- Knowledge, comprehension and application of English at NQF Level 4/Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Competence in the relevant field in which they will be conducting and designing assessments.
The programme duration is 40 hours and the tuition is face-to-face. This excludes time to complete assignments, research and self-study. Each Damelin campus has a different tuition schedule. Programmes are offered during the week, in the evenings, or on Saturdays.
Learners who achieve these unit standards will be able to plan and conduct assessments within their field of expertise. This programme also covers the skills required to design and develop reliable assessment tools, within an outcomes-based framework. Learners will be required to complete a Portfolio of Evidence to support the competent findings of the assessor. The learner will be supported and guided towards reaching this goal.
