The P.P.L. course is designed to teach you how to pilot a Single Engine piston (SEP) airplane during the day using visual navigation (VFR).
Included are 45 hours minimum of flight training. You also need to pass 9 written exams, and a flight skill test at the end of the course. It can be completed in 3 months minimum provided that you pass the theory exams at first try, but it can also be done at your own pace.
Knowledge of the English language is required. English language classes can be arranged at an additional cost prior or during the course depending on each Student's needs.
The PPL Training Course includes:
• 45 flight hours
• 100+ hours Ground School (80 hours minimum)
• Trevor Thom P.P.L. Books and Training Materials (logbook, charts and ruler)
• Aircraft Manual
• Airport fees
• Be at least 16 years of age
• Sufficient knowledge of the English Language
• Class 2 EASA Medical Certificate
The Ground School
The P.P.L. Ground School course includes 9 subjects:
• Air Law
• Aircraft General Knowledge
• Flight Performance & Planning
• Human Performance & Limitations
• Operational Procedures
• Principles of Flight
The duration of the Ground School course is 100 hours minimum and can be done at any time during the year or concurrent with the flight lessons. There is no extra charge for any additional hours of Ground School, if needed.
The Flight Training
The flight training course consists of 45 hours minimum flown on single engine piston aircraft (SEP), including 10 hours Solo as pilot in command (PIC) and 35 hrs dual (with an Instructor). The flight training can be done concurrent with the Ground School course.
If additional flight hours are needed, the cost is 170.00 euro per hour.
