Program Description

Course - General English

Crest Schools of English

Why General English?

Our General English classes are designed for students who want to develop all their language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. General English classes will also help you to improve your grammar, pronunciation and fluency. Classes are available for all levels from beginner to proficiency.

What can I expect from classes?

Our experienced teachers will monitor your progress throughout your studies and will assign homework to help consolidate your learning. We have a range of self-access learning materials and an online e-learning student zone so that you can continue to study outside class in your free time.

What happens after my course?

Students who complete their course are awarded a Crest Schools of English certificate, which shows the length of your studies and the level achieved. To help you consolidate your learning after your course has ended, we will keep your e-learning account open for some time so that you can continue to access sample lessons after your last day at school. We will also invite you to join our Crest alumni, which will give you ongoing, unlimited access to our online blog and newsletter, with helpful advice, fun games to practice your English and other community resources.

Are there exams I can take?

Students who would like to take an internationally recognised exam to demonstrate their language level can register for the test at school. Crest Schools of English is affiliated with London Crest Open Centre, which is one of the largest Cambridge ESOL and Trinity College Examination Centres in the UK. Cambridge ESOL Exams are recognised worldwide and are a valuable recognition of your language abilities. Trinity College GESE exams are ideal for students who would like a certificate to demonstrate their language level in speaking and listening. For students progressing to further education, you may also want to enrol for the IELTS exam, recognised by universities across the globe.
