Students study and practice skills in fundamental business practices in order to qualify for supervisory and middle management positions. The importance of team development, customer satisfaction, employee motivation, and problem-solving is emphasized throughout the program. Business management students will also receive college credit and pay for on-the-job occupational experience while working in a business-related field for two semesters.
Career possibilities encompass a multitude of current and expanding business opportunities including product and service retailing, wholesaling, advertising, marketing, distribution, sales, food service, hospitality, supervision in manufacturing, entrepreneurship and business ownership. Using these newly acquired skills, students will plan and implement a marketing strategy using internet marketing, social media and events to promote any business or product of their choice. Each course can be completed individually or combine all eight courses, including a co-op work placement, for a full program graduation.
Course Breakdown: 45 hours per course plus a 157.5 hour co-op work placement.
