Studying Photo Imaging at Melbourne Polytechnic, you develop your creativity, technical knowledge and business skills, enabling you to freelance or start your own photographic studio. You will gain practical experience in the many photographic imaging techniques and practices (both analogue and digital) currently in use.
The Certificate IV in Photo imaging develops your skills in a wide range of photographic disciplines. This includes Image Capture, Studio and Location Lighting, DSLR Video, Darkroom (Fairfield campus only), Digital Image Enhancement and Printing.

Your teachers are all industry professionals who will guide and support you throughout your course of study. Staff will provide opportunities for you to become involved with the photographic industry and collaborate with other students within the Melbourne Polytechnic creative arts network.

Certificate IV develops your technical skills in a creative environment. Through excursions, visiting speakers, industry relevant projects and course exhibitions you will prepare for the professional photographic industry.
