Ca’ Foscari International College is an honour course school, supported by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research (MIUR), which aims at achieving excellence in the different areas of study and research. The College intends to attract the best and most gifted students both from Italy and abroad.
Students attend degree programmes at Università Ca’ Foscari and take part in additional interdisciplinary programmes and innovative activities arranged by the College, making it one of the most vibrant cultural and scientific centres in the area.
The aim of the College is to create a stimulating environment in which talented young students can excel in their different areas of study and research. At the same time students build up a community with a strong multidisciplinary exchange of ideas.
English is the official language of the College.
It provides accommodation on the Island of San Servolo, an international residential campus located in the Venice Lagoon.
Along with the standard courses offered in their degree or Master's degree, students will be engaged in a wide variety of cultural activities and interdisciplinary lectures and labs. The International College stands as a landmark for the culture of the region, thanks to the interaction with the artistic and cultural production of Ca’ Foscari University and to the links with international research networks.
The College multidisciplinary approach to learning will help students develop their abilities to cope with an ever-changing labour market and give them more chances to grow from a personal and professional point of view.
Ca' Foscari International College is addressed to first-year students of all bachelor's and Master's degree programmes of Ca' Foscari University.
Admission to the International college is based on:
- Previous scholastic results
- A short motivational letter (between 200 and 400) words, describing the goals and the attitude of the candidate in regards to the International College experience.
- Fluency in English should be at B2 level (CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or equivalent);
- Foreigner students should have a knowledge of Italian at B1 level (with the exception of students applying for degree courses held exclusively in English)
