This course aims to provide you with the practical skills and knowledge of IT and includes both software and hardware elements, which may include specialisms such as networking and web development. The course consists of eighteen IT related units. Twelve units are studied in the first year with the remaining six in the second year. This will give students a valuable insight into the varied careers in IT. Opportunities to gain recognised Microsoft qualifications are available. Private study is required.

You must have a minimum of level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) English qualification to apply for a student visa. To study a level 3 qualification you will need an IELTS score of 5.0 (or equivalent) and qualifications at the following levels e.g.

• India – Higher Secondary (12 Grade) • Middle East – Secondary Diploma (Tawjihiyah) • China/ Hong Kong – Senior Secondary School Certificate • Africa – West African Senior School Certificate

You will be required to take part in an initial assessment to ensure that the course and level of study are suited to your ability.
