This exciting course provides students with the opportunity to experience a broad range of subjects that strongly reflect practices used in the fashion industry. After the initial stage of the course in which you follow a programme to develop your creativity and technical skills, the programme follows specialist fashion pathways, including: pattern construction, garment production, contextual influences, surface pattern and drawing development. There may be opportunities for trips abroad, as well as chances to enter into various competitions and shows. All students could have the opportunity of taking part in a fashion show or high profile fashion shoot. Private study is required and the course offers opportunities to gain further qualifications in Functional Skills English, Maths and or ICT.

You must have a minimum of level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) English qualification to apply for a student visa. To study a level 3 qualification you will need an IELTS score of 5.0 (or equivalent) and qualifications at the following levels e.g.
• India – Higher Secondary (12 Grade) • Middle East – Secondary Diploma (Tawjihiyah) • China/ Hong Kong – Senior Secondary School Certificate • Africa – West African Senior School Certificate
You will be required to take part in an initial assessment to ensure that the course and level of study is suited to your ability.
After successful completion of this course you can progression to our Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma in Fashion & Textiles. You may also choose to progress to university to study a degree.
