Students enrolled in this A.A. degree will explore a variety of classes, including sport sociology and sport administration, to better understand the sports industry. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts an increase of 29% in jobs in coaching and scouting through 2020 and a 10% increase in agents and managers of athletes through 2016. The Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree is a two-year liberal arts degree designed for the student who intends to transfer into a bachelor's degree program. You do not earn an A.A. in a specific major; however, you do have the opportunity to track toward a specific major at a university by choosing a related advisement track at Santa Fe College.
