This program provides you with the basic requirements to transfer to a college or university as a junior to complete a bachelor’s degree. You are responsible for completing the admission requirements of the university in order to transfer. Students enrolled in this A.A. degree will explore a variety of classes, including sport sociology and sport administration, to better understand the sports industry. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts an increase of 29% in jobs in coaching and scouting through 2020 and a 10% increase in agents and managers of athletes through 2016. The Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree is a two-year liberal arts degree designed for the student who intends to transfer into a bachelor's degree program. You do not earn an A.A. in a specific major; however, you do have the opportunity to track toward a specific major at a university by choosing a related advisement track at Santa Fe College. If you don’t see a track geared toward your intended transfer major, you may choose General Studies and speak with your academic advisor.
