This program provides you with the basic requirements to transfer to a college or university as a junior to complete a bachelor’s degree in computer science. You are responsible for completing the admission requirements of the university in order to transfer.
What is Computer Science?
Computer science is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. This degree area consistently ranks among the fastest-growing, highest-paying fields in the U.S.
Computer science professionals meet the needs of an industry that supplies the software for the growing number of devices, websites and apps we use every day.
The Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree is a two-year liberal arts degree designed for the student who intends to transfer into a bachelor's degree program. You do not earn an A.A. in a specific major; however, you do have the opportunity to track toward a specific major at a university by choosing a related advisement track at Santa Fe College. If you don’t see a track geared toward your intended transfer major, you may choose General Studies and speak with your academic advisor.
