The study of performing arts focuses on both the theoretical and practical approaches in the many forms of artistic demonstration, including theater, music and dance. Students can study music either through an academic approach, a technical one, or both.

An associate degree is an undergraduate degree offered in the US and a few other countries. Associate degrees are a qualification below a bachelor's degree. Many students earn associate degrees during their first few years of higher education. Part time learning allows one to obtain part-time degrees even if one cannot attend school on a full-time basis. One can learn at his or own pace, gradually accumulating credits which count towards final qualification.
