The welding technology program at SCCC trains students to become skilled artisans combining both art and science in their profession. Welders hold an important place in the modern industry, working in manufacturing, construction, maintenance, and repair. Students use up-to-date welding equipment as they obtain hands-on experience and assemble projects from the public or blueprints in the campus welding shop. Needed in any industry where metal is used, students in the SCCC welding program learn entry-level and advanced welding involving the fusion of metals using an electric arc or gas torch to create the desired project. -
