What is an associate degree in theatre studies? This program is designed for students interested in theatre and drama. Each program will differ in its focus, but typical topics will include the history of theatre, stage production basics, theatre technology, basics of acting and how theatre fits into the modern world. Students may also be introduced to different subject areas such as classical, modernism and postdramatic theatre. Learning methods may consist of both classroom lecture as well as stage practice.
