Architecture and Interior Design Course

Addressed to:

Professionals, students and amateurs: photography, architecture and interior design.


Goals:

Learn to register and explain the architectural space from the photograph.

Be able to make a professional photographic commission for architecture or interior design.


Contents:

  • What is architectural photography and what are its applications.
  • Knowledge and practice of the large format camera: perspective control.
  • Use of large format cameras in small groups.
  • Adapting the technique of the large format camera to the usual material of the students (camera and computer).
  • Take advantage of outdoor and indoor light conditions.
  • Knowledge of specific digital techniques. Practices in digital laboratory.
  • Architecture as a subject of artistic photography. Limits of architectural photography.
  • Conference-workshop with Ricardo Devesa, doctor architect, editor and professor.

Different architectural spaces of the city of Barcelona are photographed, such as the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, the Modernist Site of the Hospital de Sant Pau, the Jaume Fuster Library and the Minim store (of contemporary design furniture).


Methodology

Practices:

Individuals with the student's own team and in a group with IEFC teams.

Practical information

  • Duration: 45 hours (15 sessions of 3 hours):
    • 6 theoretical sessions
    • 7 practical sessions
    • 2 sessions of digital laboratory
  • Start: October 2, 2018
  • Dates: October 2018 to February 2019
  • Schedule: Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Price: € 780 (IEFC students / Affiliates UPIFC / Associated AFPE: € 700)
  • Access: Interview.
