We recognise that adjusting to campus life, keeping up with a rigorous study schedule, and learning to live independently can feel overwhelming for even the most determined learners. Which is why, at the two-week Immerse Architecture summer programme, we aim to provide an experience that helps participants imagine what it might be like to study at University level. Participants will be able to engage with first-year architecture material, reside at a Cambridge University college, and develop new skills as they work through a carefully constructed syllabus.
Architecture is a discipline that is seldom explored in typical high schools, yet it’s a fascinating art at the intersection of design and engineering. The Architecture programme is geared towards prospective undergraduate students who are interested in studying architecture at university level, or who are simply looking to learn more about the world of architecture. During the programme, participants explore different architectural styles in addition to developing key skills, providing them with an unparalleled insight into studying Architecture at university level. After two weeks of guidance, students will leave the programme with a better understanding of the history and trends behind modern architecture as well as the real-world challenges inherent in being a practising architect today.
