In 2013, Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, established the Antai Global Summer Program (AGSP) to satisfy the growing need of helping international students understand China from business perspectives. AGSP is a three-week-long, credits-conferring, English-taught summer program focusing on Learning Business and Culture in China. Approximately 100 students from over 20 countries joined each cohort. The Program holds two separate sessions in May and July each year, in order to match the summer-break calendars at different schools. Participants will gain a deep understanding of the Chinese economy and culture with in-class coursework, company visits, social events and tours. In addition to having faculty who teach in top business schools around the world, the summer program features sessions taught by executive speakers including senior knowledge expert of top-brand MNCs, executives of successful Chinese enterprises, founders of start-up companies and so on. Cultural immersion activity is also a highlight of the program. During the program, we organize out-of-city excursions, acrobatic shows, river cruising, tea-making, Zen practice, pot modeling, Chinese cooking lessons etc. The program offers two tracks: undergraduate track and graduate track. The undergraduate track is aimed to familiarize students with Chinese history, culture, policy and business environment, whereas the graduate track focus on developing students’ vision and capabilities of doing business in China.
