Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media
This qualification incorporates theoretical studies in visual arts and practical studies in media arts, covering areas of interactive digital media and screen and media, such as electronic design, interactive media, computer animation, 3D visualisation, web page design and digital video. The program provides a challenging project-based learning environment where students can clearly develop relevant experience, understanding and skills in the rapidly expanding field of creative new media. With a great focus on group work, this qualification will allow you to work in the film, television, radio and digital media industries.
The course is delivered at the state of the art technical teaching facility, the Digital Media Centre the University of Wollongong (UOW) Innovation Campus. The Digital Media Centre is a multi-million dollar collaboration between UOW and TAFE NSW that features advanced teaching facilities such as studios, post-production resources, computer and exhibition spaces. An array of current and industry-recognised software and quality digital hardware supports the delivery of the practical course components.
Course Entry Requirements
- While there is no formal academic entry requirement for this course , for student visa purposes you may be required to show successful completion of an academic qualification equivalent to Year 12.
- Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 46 or Certificate 3 in Advanced English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent.
