Introduction
This two-year Associate of Applied Science degree prepares the student for the most common fields of corrosion control and integrity management. This highly specialized degree is suitable for careers in manufacturing companies, operating companies, and government agencies. The program includes hands-on training with state-of-the-art equipment and computer-based research. There is an opportunity to become Operator Qualification (OQ) certified by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). This degree also prepares the student for future certification as a National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Corrosion Technician, NACE Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1), NACE Level I Coatings Inspector, NACE Internal Corrosion Technologist, and/or NACE PCIM Technician (see latest NACE certification requirements for details).
