A-levels in Medieval History in United Kingdom

Achieving high scores on A-levels is important for UK students who wish to enter university. Institutions of higher learning use the results of these exams to decide if a student is prepared to study at their program.  

Programs in medieval studies prepare students with an understanding of civilization in the Middle Ages. Mainly focused on the 11th to 15th centuries, programs teach the historical events, languages, religions and literature that influenced the people of Europe.

Education in the United Kingdom is a devolved matter with each of the countries of the United Kingdom having separate systems under different governments: the UK Government is responsible for England, and the Scottish Government, the Welsh Government and the Northern Ireland Executive are responsible for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, respectively.
