Overview

National Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Skills for Business is a six-month course suited for high school leavers. Upon completion, successful students will be invited to join the NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration. Students successfully completing the Level 4 course are entitled to apply for the first year at university. Alternatively, students can continue their academic studies at BSMI by taking NVQ Level 5 Leadership and Management and progress to the final year at a UK university.

Programme Overview:

This programme will ensure that you meet the Academic and English requirements to progress to the Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration. Students successfully completing the Level 4 course are entitled to apply for the first year or the second year at a UK university depending on their final transcripts. Alternatively, students can continue their studies at BSMI by undertaking the Level 5 in Leadership and Management, which will progress them to the final year at UK universities.

What is special about this course?

The course is designed to provide you for progression to Level 4 in Business Administration. Students successfully completing the Level 4 course are entitled to apply for the first of an undergraduate degree. Alternatively, students can continue their academic studies at BSMI by taking NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management and progress to the final year at university.

Entry Requirements:

Students must have completed a Level 2 Diploma or British GCSE equivalents in a related discipline. This course is suitable for grade 11 graduates. An English language level equivalent to IELTS 4.5 or above with a minimum of 4.5 in each component. Please note students requiring a visa who provide IELTS for admission must ensure that they provide the IELTS for UKVI test. The non-UKVI IELTS Academic is not acceptable. Students must be a minimum of 16 years old for this programme.

Course Overview for Level 3 in Skills for Business

This qualification provides students with an understanding of the essential skills required in a business environment. The course covers the skills required in a business environment. It gives students an understanding of business culture and responsibilities, as well as the ability to successfully communicate and work with others. Students will be required to complete the following units to acquire a diploma in Level 3 in Business Skills.

  • Business culture and responsibilities
  • Delivering customer service in a business
  • Solve problems in a business environment
  • Communicate in a business environment
  • Contribute to running a project
  • Innovation in a business environment
  • Manage and improve own performance in a business environment

Assessment

Assessment will be provided at the end of each module and may take slightly different forms depending on the content of each individual module. The course also includes 3 hours of mandatory academic language tuition, weekly assessments, testing of course content, regular tutorials to assess your progress and opportunities to discuss students’ progression.
