Curriculum
Professional Development Courses
Students will have to take various professional development courses as part of their program. These courses are specifically designed for international students interested in gaining the necessary language and professional training to engage well in the Canadian workforce. Students will receive an extra certificate of completion from Continuing Education for taking these courses. Courses include 2 French classes and a Dynamic Job-Seeking Methods course.
Extra Information
Students will be required to remain in full-time studies according to the regulations of the CAQ and Study Permit, which means that students cannot lessen their course load throughout the program.
It will not be possible for students to take additional classes that are not related to, or support, the original program of studies, such as prep classes or summer classes. Extra language classes may be permissible.
Note that not all courses are taught each semester, so you may need to wait sometime before re-taking a course if you do not pass it. If you are not able to remain at a full-time course load, this may have implications for your CAQ and Study Permit. Students should therefore be aware that failing is not a feasible option.
