Anglolang is an international English language school that was established in 1985 in the historical tourist resort of Scarborough on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast. The school is located just 15 minutes’ walk from the beach and most accommodation. It offers a traditional British location for study and convenient access to the main cities of England and Scotland.

Anglolang’s Intensive English & IELTS course is perfect for students who hope to study at a UK college or university in the future but do not have a high enough level of English. This course involves 25 hours group tuition each week in small multinational classes. The combination of morning classes which focus on the four skills as well as grammar and vocabulary development and afternoon classes which focus on IELTS examination strategies, helps students to achieve the score that they need in the IELTS test. Therefore allowing them to progress to the unversity degree of their choice. IELTS courses can be booked for 4 weeks or more. The minimum language level required for this course is Elementary (A1). When does it start? You can start the Intensive English and ELTS course at a number of different points during the year. Please contact us for more information about start dates which are suitable for you. What is IELTS? IELTS is the International English Language Testing System, an important English language test which is used to check language level for entry to colleges and universities around the world. The aim of our two week course is to provide stimulating practical teaching ideas and to develop English language proficiency. Methodology sessions can include: - Vocabulary learning, recording & recycling - Learner autonomy - Motivating learners to speak - Project work in the classroom - The use of drama and role-play - Different ways of teaching grammar This course is available at regular dates throughout the year.
