Istituto Italiano di Fotografia has been for 20 years a school leader in the field of vocational training in Italy. Training in IIF is characterized by its completeness and for its practical and professional approach that ranges among the most important sectors in the world of photography.

Course in Basic Photography

Campus Full time 2 weeks June 2017 Italy Milan

This course is dedicated to those who want to have a first approach to the world of digital photography, both indoors and outdoors, starting with the basics of photographic technique. The various photographic genres will be addressed by the portrait in studio and in a “household” - considering the use of tools and equipment available to the students - and the landscape, intended as a research of expression through special technical languages. This course is dedicated to those who want to have a first approach to the world of digital photography, both indoors and outdoors, starting with the basics of photographic technique. The various photographic genres will be addressed by the portrait in studio and in a “household” - considering the use of tools and equipment available to the students - and the landscape, intended as a research of expression through special technical languages. Moreover it will be developed a section devoted to reportage, with a specific focus on street photography. This in order to learn a first approach to build possible photographic service, through exercises “in the field” and the introduction to topics of photo editing. This unique course brings together the key concepts of both photography and fashion to provide students with introductory knowledge and skills in fashion photography. Emphasizing both technical photography skills and fashion industry insight, this course gives the student a well rounded understanding of the business of fashion and the role of the fashion photographer within the industry. To provide the student a real ‘insider’ perspective, this course also includes interactions with established fashion photographers, fashion designers, fashion magazines and modeling agencies. [+]

Food Photography

An intensive course that aims to provide participants, which already possess the basic photographic techniques, the tools in order to learn the methods, the tricks and the difficulties of professional food photography. The student will learn to plan and organize their own creative process, starting from the idea of the project, then move through the process of the research for the proposed topics, planning for the following operational phases such as shooting, post-production, and finally the elaboration of the final product. The photographers will also have the ability to interact with various figures working in the world of food and professional photography. [+]

The student will learn to plan and organize their own creative process, starting from the idea of the project, then move through the process of the research for the proposed topics, planning for the following operational phases such as shooting, post-production, and finally the elaboration of the final product. The photographers will also have the ability to interact with various figures working in the world of food and professional photography. The practical part will allow to experience the photographic medium with techniques and tools suitable for the type of shooting and the desired image. Students will learn how to build up a set, find the best solutions to create and obtain images in a short time and in a variety of situations.
