Ben-Gurion University of the Negev Ben-Gurion University of the Negev was established in 1969 with the aim to bring development to the Negev, a desert area comprising more than sixty percent of the country. The Haifa Law School is the first non-European Law school to become a full member of the European programme in Law and Economics. This is a one year programme towards a Master in Law and Economics, where the student spends three trimesters in three different universities. The University of Haifa is a third term university in this programme. About 10 Israeli students are being admitted to the programme annually. The Haifa Law School is also a foreign affiliated member of the American Association of Law Schools - AALS . Our faculty has been recognized by the European Union as the only action 3 partner of the EMLE programme course. The European Union allocates Grants to 10 European EMLE students who study their third term in Haifa each year.
