You have several options to get pilot license, but you need to at least graduate from high school to be qualified. After high school, the path varies. Each path has pros and cons. AAA also supports you to select the best option for you. Please make an inquiry to us. Getting a pilot license at an aviation college after graduating from high school You can get a pilot license through an aviation college after graduating from a high school. The advantage of studying at an aviation college is that you can receive a degree as well as a pilot license at the same time. However it takes at least four years to get a license and costs more. Getting a pilot license at a pilot school after graduating from a college/university You can get a pilot license through a flying school after you graduate from a high school and a college/university. It does not matter what you major in at a college/university. Any students are basically able to proceed to pilot training. Getting a pilot license at a pilot school after graduating from high school A pilot school is specialized for a pilot training only for the purpose of pilot licensing. This option is shorter than others and more reasonable to get a pilot license. However, as a matter of fact, there are some flying schools that have problems with their facilities or management, which cause their students to wait for the training and not to receive the training properly. You need to be careful when you choose a school, considering the fee, duration, management system and so on. Requirements - High school graduate - Good health - English proficiency Private Pilot License The Private Pilot License is the first official and internationally recognized License for everyone, whether you are training for a hobby or a career. With your newly minted Private Pilot License, you can carry more than one passenger. You will be able to fly solo or carry passengers anywhere in the Philippines during the daytime under Visual Flight Rules (VFR). If you are planning to be a professional pilot, you shall proceed to Commercial Pilot License (CPL) course. Commercial Pilot License CPL allows you to fly as a commercial pilot for living. It is mandatory to hold CPL in order to work as a pilot. You need to have minimum 160 flight hours to apply for CPL in the Philippines. Instrument Rating Instrument Rating allows you to fly in poor weather conditions and further improve your navigation skills. Flying by instrument rules allows a pilot to build confidence in handling the plane in any weather, which is also highly recommended for the future employment. Multi-Engine Rating MER gives you an opportunity to fly an airplane with more than one engine. Since most of commercial airplanes are multi-engine, MER experience is a definite step forward in your pilot career. [-]
