Looking for a French course for foreigners in Paris? Elfe has been specialised in teaching French as a foreign language to adults in small groups of 7 people for more than 20 years. The objective of this course is to enable students to communicate with greater confidence and accuracy in a variety of everyday situations. [+]

French + Art 15 h of general French in mini-groups + 3 hours of artistic French in individual lessons + 1 museum visit (2 h 30) Objectives: To enable students to communicate with greater confidence and accuracy in a variety of everyday situations To improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills To learn different techniques of painting and drawing To practise the vocabulary of artistic French Minimum Level Required: Upper elementary (A2). Typical Student Profile: Young adults (from 16 years on) and adults (from 18 years on) Duration: 1 week or more. Course Start Date: Every Monday, all year round. Individual art course themes (as desired) Proportion and perspective Drawing theory Colour and paint Artistic expression Life drawing Nude studies Course Schedule: Monday: from 10h to 13h (group courses) followed by individual lessons and/or museum visit from 14h Tuesday to Friday: from 9h to 12h (group courses) followed by individual lessons and/or museum visit from 13h15 Course Structure: Intercultural mini-groups of between 3 and 7 students maximum in a classroom environment at Elfe's premises in the morning. 3 MONTHS / 6 MONTHS / 9 MONTHS: 15 hours / week of general French in a group (7-10 students max.) + 5 hours of workshops (TOTAL: 20h) Objectives: To enable students to communicate with greater confidence and accuracy in a variety of everyday situations To improve their listening and speaking skills Minimum Level Required: All levels Typical Student Profile: Young adults (from 16 years on) and adults (from 18 years on). Duration: 12 weeks (3 months) / 24 weeks (6 months) or 36 weeks (9 months) Course Start Date: Every Monday, all year round, except beginners. Beginners must start on the first Monday of each month (see specific dates below). Jan 06; Feb 03; Mar 03; April 07; May 12; June 02; July 07; Aug 04; Sept 01; Oct 06; Nov 03; Dec 01 Course Schedule: Group courses (15h): 10h – 13h (Monday) and 9h – 12h (Tuesday to Friday). 2 workshops are spread over 2 afternoons (2 – 4.30 on Monday; 1.15 – 3.45 Tuesday to Friday). Workshops: - Phonetics: Using listening and drilling exercises, students will learn to familiarise with rhythm, word group stress, intonation and liaisons. - Language study: The aim of this workshop is to improve students’ listening and speaking skills in everyday life and to revise some grammar points covered during group lessons. - French culture: Using games and cinema-related activities, students will be introduced to the French way of life, literature and culture. Course Structure: Intercultural groups of between 7 and 10 students maximum in a classroom environment. Methodology: This is a highly interactive course with a strong emphasis on oral communication. MG 15: 15 Hours in Mini-Groups (General French)

The objectives of this course are to enable students to communicate with greater confidence and accuracy in a variety of everyday situations and improve their listening, speaking and reading skills. [+]

MG 15: 15 Hours in Mini-Groups (General French) Objectives: To enable students to communicate with greater confidence and accuracy in a variety of everyday situations To improve their listening, speaking and reading skills Minimum Level Required: All levels. Duration: 1 week or more. We recommend that beginners stay for a minimum duration of 2 weeks. Course Start Date: Every Monday, all year round, except beginners. Beginners must start on the first Monday of each month (see specific dates below) Course Schedule: 3 hours every morning, 5 days a week (9am–12am Tuesday to Friday and 10am–1pm Monday). On the first day, students arrive at the school at 9am for a short oral test (a written test will have been sent to each participant prior to the course starting date). Classes start at 10am every Monday. Course Structure: Intercultural mini-groups of between 3 and 7 students in a classroom environment with appropriate learning equipment. Methodology: This is a highly interactive course with a strong emphasis on communication. Homework is set every evening. Relevant manuals are supplied.
