Food lovers everywhere are invited to join our group cooking classes in Carlton, Melbourne! Front Cooking School is located in a magnificent, restored Victorian mansion and offers a wide range of cooking classes and food activities.

You’ll learn or perfect your cooking skills in a ‘state of the art’ commercial kitchen using professional tools and supported by experienced chefs from various backgrounds.

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent as a manager in any hospitality functional area. This individual would possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and be able to use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate their own work and/or the work of their team. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops. [+]

This qualification reflects the roll of individuals operating at a senior level who use substantial industry knowledge and wide-ranging, specialised managerial skills. They operate independently, take responsibility for others and make a range of strategic business decisions. [+]

This qualification reflects the roll of individuals operating at a senior level who use substantial industry knowledge and wide-ranging, specialised managerial skills. They operate independently, take responsibility for others and make a range of strategic business decisions. Expected Outcomes This qualification provides a pathway to work in any sector of the hospitality industry as a senior manager in large organisation or small business owner or manager. Entry Requirements Completion of Year 12 or above IELTS 5.5 or equivalent Study Programme The course is 126 weeks in duration (including a 26-week holiday). This includes the Diploma of Hospitality, Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery. Method and delivery Classroom based learning, online learning and work based training. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality enterprises where food is prepared and served, including restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes, cafeterias and coffee shops. Individuals may have some responsibility for others and provide technical advice and support to a team. [+]

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent as a qualified cook. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality enterprises where food is prepared and served, including restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes, cafeterias and coffee shops. Individuals may have some responsibility for others and provide technical advice and support to a team. Expected Outcomes After completing a Certificate III you can continue your studies in a Certificate IV and Diploma of Hospitality.
