Drawing Venice is not a simple sketchbook course, it’s an opportunity offered to students coming from all around the world to meet, experience and represent a unique city in a very original way, deepening the knowledge of its historical and contemporary context. Drawing Venice is a path of practice and study able to combine past and future, classic architecture and new trend in the Arts field.
The aim of the course is to provide the students with skills and technical competences, pushing them to develop a personal style, thanks to the guide of specialized lecturers.
The course have a duration of 75 hours, shared through work-on site around the city, frontal lesson (in class), and study visit (at Museum and 2015 Arts Biennal).
The attendance is from Monday to Thursday and will follow a specific Calendar scheduling lesson in the morning or in the afternoon section, depending on the specific activities requested.
The students will learn and develop basic drawing skills, including composition, form and perspective, with a focus on the creative and artistic conceptualization of their ideas.
Specific prerequisites or educational training are not requested, but a specific bibliography will be provided to the students so to introduce them to the historical and architectural context of Venice, as well as the basic principles of architectural styles and drawing.
