Routine English Language Skills
This course is aimed at adults from language backgrounds other than English. The course is designed for students with a minimum English language proficiency. This will help you participate in the Australian community, progress in your job or do further study.
Your level of English and appropriate course will be determined at the selection/enrolment process.
English courses usually enrol on a semester basis and the actual duration (length of course) is determined by the English level at which you start.
Students who successfully complete this course will have developed the English language skills to help them access further vocational education, employment or greater participation in the English-speaking community.
Students who successfully complete this course may be eligible to enrol in the Certificate III in English for Further Study, the Certificate III in English for Employment or the Certificate III in English for Vocational Purposes.
Minimum Entry Requirements
There are no formal educational requirements for this qualification. The qualification is designed for people who have minimum English language proficiency of 1+ on the International Second Language Proficiency Ratings ISLPRr scale, or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 4 or equivalent.
