The Plumber Foundation Program provides students with the knowledge and skills that will be of value as they pursue their career as a plumber. During the course, students receive intensive training in major components of the plumbing field including mathematics, tools and equipment, and installation.
Students will learn to read blueprints, layout, measure, install and connect copper, steel and plastic pipes, and use various plumbing tools. The main focus is on the competencies that are common to the plumbing and piping trades.
Upon completion of the program, students may enter
various plumbing related jobs or seek apprenticeships.
• Applicants must possess a high school diploma or meet the requirements for mature student status;
• If applicant does not have a high school diploma they must have at least completed Math 10, and English 12; (All applicants are required to produce a copy of their transcripts with their application;
• Applicants must successfully pass the Vancouver Career College Admissions Test.
