What is difference between CAPM and PMP test and course?
PMP is a higher level certification which enjoys a high reputation and acceptance over any other certification PMI offers. PMP is meant for people who already have at least 3-4 years of real project management experience and know what it takes to be a project manager in a real world setting. PMI's exam strategy around PMP is more lengthy, complex and longer than the CAPM examination.. PMP exam takes 4 hours to complete in which you have to answer 1-4 questions correct out of 200 in order to qualify yourself as PMP. CAPP has 150 questions from which you have to answer 92 questions correctly in a 3 hour examination. PMP examination tests every possible scenario keeping in mind that the students has to face all those scenarios in real-life work situations. CAPM exam does test all the knowledge areas but keeps focus on sections from PMBOK more heavily than the real-life scenarios.
What is the next step after PMP?
Upon course completion, it is recommended students pursue further PMI qualifications with CMI, or the Advanced Diploma in Project Management.
