Network+ Certificate in Information Technology

The purpose of the information technology certificate program is to provide a foundation in information technology. Students enrolling in the Network+ Certificate program typically already have a high school degree and want to expand their career opportunities or want to change careers altogether.

Upon successful completion of the outlined courses, students will be able to:

  1. Qualify for the CompTIA* certification exam
  2. Pursue available positions in the information technology field
  3. Be prepared to enroll into the associate of information technology studies or related program.
  4. Perform troubleshooting to recover from operating system start-up failures
  5. Work with routers, gateways, network interfaces, wireless access points, modems and firewalls
  6. Install network cards, repeaters, and specialized network devices
  7. Apply DOS knowledge when GUI is unavailable
  8. Successfully complete the certification exam offered by CompTIA* in Network+
