Geography

  • A Level
  • Full-time
  • Examining Board: AQA

Geography is highly relevant in understanding some of the global issues we face. This subject will help you to improve your understanding of the fragile relationship between people and planet. Here are some of the topic areas we cover:

  • Rivers
  • Coasts
  • Population change
  • Energy issues
  • Economic development
  • Globalisation
  • Plate tectonics
  • Weather and Climate

You will also sharpen your skills of map reading and fieldwork. There are day trips to practise field work techniques and there is a residential to Iceland or Sicily in the second year.

The teaching is good, I get a lot of help when I need it. The extra support is brilliant-clearly open to everyone and you can just drop in and ask a question and go.
