Levels: Five levels: Beginner to Advanced
Standard: fifteen hours a week (core classes plus three options).
Intensive: twenty-one hours a week (core classes plus five options)
This popular course focuses on developing and advancing the student’s English language skills for further study or professional development. You design the course according to your individual needs. Combine core English classes with your choice of options.
Core English classes focus on improving your overall reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, including vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Options strengthen your weaker skills or deepen your knowledge of subject areas of interest. Options are two hours a week and include: Academic Writing, British Culture, Business English, Pronunciation and Conversation, Grammar, Academic English/IELTS, and Employability.
Teachers and Classes
Qualified and experienced teachers work closely with you to ensure your progress. Classes are small with an average of 12 students and a maximum of 20 students.
Any persons aged 16 years old or above can apply. Students under 18 years are offered additional support.
Students may progress to study our College’s vocational BTEC Level 3 courses, Access, Foundation Degree and Higher Education university degree courses. Free advice and assistance is provided when students apply for HE degree courses through UCAS.
