Organic growth is the most reliable and sustainable way to grow your company. However, few large firms have a systematic and repeatable process for driving organic growth; and, as many companies have seen, “buying” growth can be opportunistic, dilutive, and risky.

This program presents participants with a rigorous and market-tested approach to drive organic growth throughout medium- to large-sized companies. Combining academic research on growth and innovation with insights from practitioners who have implemented growth processes at leading companies, the program also highlights perspectives from the Kellogg Innovation Network—a group of participating innovators from companies such as Sony, Motorola, Pepsi, and Microsoft.

Participants will learn to think more holistically about innovation and growth and will leave the program able to put a growth process into action at their company.

Format

The program will use a combination of lectures, case studies, action learning exercises, and the Growth Initiative Journal—an innovative tool for capturing and contextualizing the learning to each participant’s specific business issues.


Key Highlight

To personalize the experience, participants will be required to bring to the program an in-depth knowledge of a high-priority growth initiative at their company. As they progress through the program, participants will prepare their own Growth Initiative Journal to begin applying the concepts presented in the program. The journals will be critiqued the faculty during and after the program.


Who Should Attend

The program is designed for senior executives who are responsible for leading and managing growth initiatives in medium- to large-sized companies. Typically, this includes regional or business unit leaders, business development executives, and senior executives in marketing, technology, R&D, operations, and strategic planning.

We encourage companies to send teams of up to five executives in order to gain a richer shared learning experience that will help move growth projects forward.

Special study groups, pricing, and other arrangements are available to companies sponsoring teams of four or more participants.
