CDI College’s Network and Internet Security Specialist - LEA.AE program covers all aspects of implementation, and operating computer services, which are rapidly growing areas in the IT industry. This program will prepare you to plan, implement, administer, support and secure networked computer systems and their users. It will also prepare for certification exams in Computing Technology Industry association (CompTIA) A+, Network+ and Security + certifications. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), and Microsoft participate in a 200-hour work placement program.
The Network and Internet Security Specialist program focuses on preparing students to design, implement, manage and maintain computers and network installations in organizations of all sizes ranging from small firms with a single Local Area Network to global corporations with large Wide Area Networks spanning multiple geographical locations.
Industry and vendor certifications have become a benchmark used by employers in the hiring process.
The Network and Internet Security Specialist program helps students prepare for certification examinations in seven areas:
• Computing Technology Industry Association
(CompTIA) A+, Network+ and Security+ certifications
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
• Grade 12 or equivalent OR mature student status (19 years of age and one year out of high school).
• Passing score on the entrance examination.
In order to graduate and receive a diploma, a student must obtain an average of at least 60% in each course of the program.
A student must complete the hours of the Student Success Strategies and Career and Employment Strategies courses for the program.
