The Accounting and Payroll Administrator program equips you with the tools necessary to meet the demands of the current job market. The objective of this program is to give you hands-on training in the key areas of accounting and payroll for businesses big and small. You will learn how to use computerized accounting programs such as Simply Accounting and ACCPAC, and by the end of your program, you'll have all the necessary skills to keep a set of books, both manually and on a computerized system. When you graduate from CDI's Accounting and Payroll Administrator program, you'll meet the requirements to receive the Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification from the Certified Payroll Management Program (CPMP). This certification is nationally recognized as the standard of excellence for payroll training, so you can be confident that your CDI College diploma is recognized and respected in the business world.

Accountants are crucial to the running of any business in order to gather, record, organize, and analyze their financial affairs.
Successful graduates of this program will meet the program requirements to receive the Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification from the Certified Payroll Management Program (CPMP), issued by the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). The certification is nationally recognized as the standard of excellence for payroll training. Students must register and pay the associated fees to the CPA.
• Grade 12 or equivalent OR mature student status (19 years of age and one year out of high school).
• Passing score on the entrance examination.
In order to graduate and receive a diploma, a student must obtain an average of at least 60% in each course of the program. Students must also achieve a grade of 60% on each mid-term test and final exam to pass the courses of Payroll Compliance Legislation, Payroll Fundamentals I and Payroll Fundamentals II.
A student must complete the hours of the Career and employment Strategies course and the Practicum/work
Experience in order to graduate and receive a diploma.
