Stockholm Flight Academy started as a project 2013 by a dedicated team of aviation professionals such as Airline Pilots, Instructors and other essential personnel. We can offer shared accommodation to fully furnished one-bedroom apartments. All-inclusive is a common term in our organization. Contact us and we’d be happy to tell you more about our academy and why we should be your first choice. AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT From zero to frozen ATPL license. This is a fulltime program that takes you from 0 flight hours until you receive your own frozen ATPL, which is what you need to fly for an airline. Our program also includes Jet Orientation Course (JOC), Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) and Airline Prep Course (APC). After completion of the program, you are then eligible to apply for a position at an airline. Pre-Entry Requirements: Medical Class 1 English level B Mathematics level B Physics level B SFA Pilot Assessment SFA Pilot Assessment is our main tool in the admission process. It is comprised of several tests including, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Physics, English and Aptitude. This assessment is a product developed by aviation experts, psychologists and behavioral scientists. The Assessment takes one day to complete and starts with theoretical exams and finishes with an Aptitude test. The results will be given on the same day. Once you have applied for a training slot at our academy, we will give you the necessary information required to prepare for our Pilot Assessment. An important note regarding our assessment is unlike other tools ours is not based on a “pass/no-pass” test result. The feedback will be thorough. Should you lack the Pre-Entry requirements, we will offer you the training required to reach our satisfactory standard. ATP-Program This program will take you from zero hours (no previous experience) to a fully trained and licensed commercial pilot, including multi-crew training. The course will take approximately 19 months. Private Pilot License (PPL) This is the first step in your professional pilot career. This is where you learn the basics of how to fly an aircraft. The first aircraft you will fly will be a single-engine piston aircraft. Flight training: 45 hours Theoretical training: 120 hours Course duration: 5 months Pilot In Command Training (PIC) During this phase, you will mature as a Pilot and keep building your flight experience. You’re allowed to bring family/friends or fellow classmates during this training. Flight training: 90 hours Course duration: 3 months Airline Transport Pilot Theory (ATPL) This is a very intensive part of your training. You will cover 14 subjects in 8 months and it is all theory. All the instructors are highly experienced and will give you the right tools you need for your airline career. Theory training: 710 hours Course duration: 8 months Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating (CPL ME/IR) This is the last step towards your Commercial Pilot License. Immunology covers the organization and development of the immune system, its activation upon stimulation, the various effector mechanisms involved in the innate and adaptive immune responses (cellular and humoral immunity), immunological memory, tolerance mechanisms, transplantation immunology, autoimmunity, hypersensitivity, immune deficiencies, and the defense mechanisms against different pathogens. The Bacterial Physiology and Pathogenesis course will highlight the intriguing world of bacteria. It will give insight into bacterial diversity and some of their distinctive habitats. It will illustrate in molecular detail the regulatory mechanisms of microbial adaptation to these varied environments. It will discuss the role of horizontal gene transfer in bacterial evolution and the acquisition of new coding potential, such as antibiotic resistance. The course will present the current state of knowledge regarding pathogenic mechanisms and the major disease causing bacteria that use them. This will include an explanation at the molecular level of various pathogenic strategies such as motility, biofilms, quorum sensing, secretion systems, toxins, adhesion factors and immune evasion mechanisms. In the face of widespread antibiotic resistance among leading bacterial pathogens, new anti-bacterial treatment and prevention options will also be addressed. The Neurobiology course gives the student extended knowledge about how the nervous system is organized, and how it functions in order to change physiological state of neuronal circuits which underlies the generation of behavior. Thus, the nervous system is explored at molecular, cellular, systems and behavioral levels. The Genetics course aims to provide knowledge of genetic theory, methodology and analysis. Subject matter includes genetic principles and the underlying mechanisms at molecular level as well as at the cellular, organism and population levels.
