The course aims to improve all aspects of language – listening, comprehension of texts read, correct grammar, speaking and writing. The first part of the course is designed to teach students English language in situations of everyday life. In the second part of the course, students are gradually introduced to vocabulary and terminology related to their future field of study – terminology that is essential to understanding the lectures and participate actively in class. The main focus is on getting the proper skills to speak and understand academic texts, as well as to analyze and critically assess complex theories and terms. Exercises aimed at improving writing, editing short written statements of various kinds are also carried out. From the second semester of the course, students can participate in selected classes of subjects studied as visiting audience members. In accordance with the FCL, the PPL(A) Private Pilot Licence can be obtained via training which begins with a theoretical course. The theoretical course will provide you with all the necessary aviation knowledge. The completion of this course is obligatory before proceeding to practical training. It is also the first step in making your dreams of flying come true. In accordance with the European standards and regulations, as expressed in the FCL, theoretical training covers information regarding aviation law, flight rules, navigation and radio navigation, meteorology, airframe structure, performance and maintenance, flight planning and the safety of flight execution, pilotage rules, aeronautical communications, capabilities and limitations of the human body, as well as many other issues that will enable students to familiarize themselves with the basic rules of executing a flight. Our school offers the theoretical PPL(A) training in Polish and in English, based on the program that has been approved by the President of The Civil Aviation Office (CAO), in accordance with the Ventum Air’s ATO certificate. The program includes 79 hours of self-study, coordinated through our e-learning platform and 21 hours of lectures, conducted during one three-day session on the premises of our school. The training lasts 3 weeks and it covers ten subjects, in accordance with FCL. Applicants must be at least sixteen years old and have a complete lower secondary education. The e-learning platform has been fully integrated into the training program at the ATO Ventum Air. It includes over 900 pages of learning materials and aids in a form of PDF presentations and over 400 pages of additional materials, as well as a bank of 2200 exam questions, together with the correct answers. At the end of the training, students sit an internal exam. Those who pass it will obtain a certificate, on the basis of which they will be admitted to the practical part of the training. This certificate is recognized by all the members of The JAA Joint Aviation Authorities. After having passed the internal exam, students are offered a 30-minute introductory flight with an instructor. These 30 minutes in the air, the first take off, the first turn, the first landing, will stay in your memory for a very………very long time. [-]

To offer you the highest quality of our training we prepared for you exercises, which will surely help you with your future work as an instructor. Theoretical training consists of 125 hours classes and includes subjects like: appropriate teaching methods, training processes, assessment and examination of students, possible threats during malfunctions in a flight, etc. The course will be held in groups of maximum 12 participants and will end with an internal exam and the issue of a certificate after the passed exam. Following minimum requirements have to be fulfilled to join the FI(A) course: at least 200 hours of total flight time including minimum 100 hours PIC as a ATPL(A) or CPL(A) license holder or at least 150 hours PIC as a PPL(A) license holder; theoretical knowledge of a CPL(A) license holder; at least 30 hours flight time on single-engine piston airplanes, from which at least 5 hours must be flown during the last six months before the preliminary check flight of the FI(A) course (see lit. f below); at least 10 hours flight time in practical instrumental flight training, from which not more than 5 hours may be done on a FNTP or a flight simulator; at least 20 PIC hours flight time in navigation flights, including a flight of not less than 540 km (300 NM) with two full stop landings at two different aerodromes; f. pass in the last six months immediately preceding the beginning of the theoretical FI(A) course a preliminary practical check flight with an instructor in accordance to PART-FCL; The result of the practical test will be a basis for evaluating the possibility of the beginning of the instructor’s course. Following documents must be submitted before the course: a valid CPL(A) pilot license or a PPL (A) with a certificate confirming passing the CPL(A) or ATPL(A) exams in front of the CAA; a valid medical certificate. This training can also serve as an alternative option for pilots who wish to extend their current license by obtaining the IR(A). Theoretical ATPL(A) training at the ATO Ventum Air is conducted exclusively in English, based on a program that has been approved by the President of The Civil Aviation Office (CAO), in accordance with the Ventum Air’s ATO (Approved Training Organization) certificate. This certificate is recognized by all the members of the JAA. In accordance with the European standards and regulations, as expressed in the FCL rules, the theoretical ATPL(A) training consists of 585 hours of self-study, coordinated through the e-learning platform, which meets the requirements specified in the FCL rules, and 70 hours of lectures, conducted during one ten-day session on the premises of our school. The training lasts 15 weeks and it covers the following 14 subjects: aviation law and air traffic control procedures, principles of flight, meteorology, flight planning, performance, capabilities and limitations of the human body, VFR communications, IFR communications, navigation, radio navigation, aircraft general knowledge, aircraft mass and balance, operational procedures. Applicants must hold a valid PPL(A), issued by a member country of the ICAO International Civil Aviation Organization and must be educated to secondary school level, i.e. A-Level, International Baccalaureate, Abitur, or equivalent standard. Classes are conducted by experienced airline pilots, medical doctors, lawyers, air traffic controllers and people from the world of aviation. The programme also offers lectures and workshops provided by professors or visiting artists, Artists’ Books, Installation-based Printmaking, Experimental Printmaking, Photo and Digital Media and New Technology in Printmaking classes. In the summer semester students take part in a one-week workshop in one of Europe’s centers for fine art printmaking. The diploma exam is a set of works realized in the selected studios, presented on a diploma exhibition.
