Taught on evenings over 12-weeks, students will learn advanced acting skills through both one-to-one and group sessions. Acting for Film (Level 2) is an intensive full-time, four-week course (Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm). o Acting for Film – Level 2 has been developed for actors who want to build on the skills they have learned through their experience of film acting, or those who have taken the Level 1 course. One-to-one and group sessions will be supplemented with masterclasses with professional directors, casting directors and producers. Whether students aim to get a place at drama school, find an agent, or enter the industry, they will receive guidance from a professional acting coach and director to help them achieve their goal. Taught by a professional actor and professional film director, along with leading drama coaches, students will act in a series of filmed exercises that will be analysed in class so that they are able to improve the performances as the course progresses. Students will also learn what it is like to be on the other side of the camera by directing and acting as crew (operating the camera, recording sound) on a number of short exercises. Please note that students must be at least 18 years old to take this course.
