Initially if you are employed in education, training or a related area, with responsibility for managing a team of staff, you should decide whether you should produce a work-based HRM assignment or a case study analysis. Secondly, if you choose the work-based model you should then consider whether you wish to embark on either a written piece of work, or a combination of a video-recorded, work-based role play plus written analysis. If you have limited management experience you will be provided with a detailed HRM case study to analyse in the light of HRM theory and concepts. This module is part of a suite of professional development courses offered by the University of Bolton covering contemporary issues and developments in education. The modules are designed to equip you with advanced skills and knowledge as you progress in your career and take on additional levels of responsibility. To gain a Masters in Education award you need 180 credits; 120 credits from undertaking advanced professional development courses or other selected modules and 60 credits from completing a dissertation.
