Course Studies in Aviation in Asia 2017. You have several options to get pilot license, but you need to at least graduate from high school to be qualified. After high school, the path varies. Each path has pros and cons. AAA also supports you to select the best option for you. Please make an inquiry to us. Getting a pilot license at an aviation college after graduating from high school You can get a pilot license through an aviation college after graduating from a high school. The advantage of studying at an aviation college is that you can receive a degree as well as a pilot license at the same time. However it takes at least four years to get a license and costs more. Getting a pilot license at a pilot school after graduating from a college/university You can get a pilot license through a flying school after you graduate from a high school and a college/university. It does not matter what you major in at a college/university. Any students are basically able to proceed to pilot training. Getting a pilot license at a pilot school after graduating from high school A pilot school is specialized for a pilot training only for the purpose of pilot licensing. This option is shorter than others and more reasonable to get a pilot license. However, as a matter of fact, there are some flying schools that have problems with their facilities or management, which cause their students to wait for the training and not to receive the training properly. You need to be careful when you choose a school, considering the fee, duration, management system and so on. Requirements - High school graduate - Good health - English proficiency Private Pilot License The Private Pilot License is the first official and internationally recognized License for everyone, whether you are training for a hobby or a career. With your newly minted Private Pilot License, you can carry more than one passenger. You will be able to fly solo or carry passengers anywhere in the Philippines during the daytime under Visual Flight Rules (VFR). If you are planning to be a professional pilot, you shall proceed to Commercial Pilot License (CPL) course. Commercial Pilot License CPL allows you to fly as a commercial pilot for living. It is mandatory to hold CPL in order to work as a pilot. You need to have minimum 160 flight hours to apply for CPL in the Philippines. Instrument Rating Instrument Rating allows you to fly in poor weather conditions and further improve your navigation skills. Flying by instrument rules allows a pilot to build confidence in handling the plane in any weather, which is also highly recommended for the future employment. Multi-Engine Rating MER gives you an opportunity to fly an airplane with more than one engine. Since most of commercial airplanes are multi-engine, MER experience is a definite step forward in your pilot career. [-]

Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL/IR/MER) with a ‘Frozen’ ATPL

Asian Academy of Aeronautics
Campus Full time Part time 10 - 12 months August 2017 Maldives Addu + 1 more

The minimum qualification that an airline would require from a prospective First Officer is an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Commercial Pilot Licence with a ‘Frozen’ ATPL. [+]

Course Studies in Aviation in Asia 2017. The minimum qualification that an airline would require from a prospective First Officer is an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Commercial Pilot Licence with a ‘Frozen’ ATPL. The Maldivian Licence complies with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), can normally be exercised globally and can easily be converted to the equivalent of another country. A ‘Frozen’ Airline Transport Pilot Licence is the name given to the qualification of a pilot who holds a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Multi Engine Piston Rating (MEP), Multi Engine Instrument Rating (ME IR) and passes in all 14 Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) theoretical exams. The ATPL would become un-frozen when the flight experience requirements are met. The experience would normally be achieved during employment as a first officer. Flight Training Our flagship course takes students with little or no previous flying experience to a ‘frozen ATPL’ in approximately 16 months, from where they are then eligible to work as a First Officer with an airline once specific aircraft type training has been completed. The course includes a Commercial Pilots License with Multi Engine Rating and Instrument Rating. The license is endorsed with Frozen ATPL status as the student has completed an Integrated Frozen ATPL course. You will fly 190 hours, with the majority being in single engine aircraft. For exact hours please see our courses packages below. Duration Full Time – 10 to 12 months. Please contact us to discuss your availability for part-time CPL Courses. Ground Instruction The ATPL exams are based on the JAR-FCL syllabus and are conducted by CAASL on behalf of the MCAA either at our facility in Gan or in Colombo (CMB), Sri Lanka. The exams conducted in Gan are hard copy question papers, whilst those conducted in CMB are online computer based exams. The results for the hard copy question papers’ will be issued approximately 10 days after completing all the papers whilst the results for the online computer based exams are declared immediately after each paper is completed. Those who don’t clear any papers in Gan may have to wait for as much as one month before they sit for the next attempt, whilst those who sit for the exam in CMB can sit for any un-cleared paper virtually on the following day if he or she so desires. Most students prefer to sit for the online exams in CMB since there is a significantly higher pass rate. The ATPL exam conducted by CAASL consists of 6 subjects and 11 papers (details below), excluding Air Law which is conducted by MCAA. [-]
