Program Description

Course - Cambridge Examination Preparation

Crest Schools of English

Every year, over 3 million people sit Cambridge ESOL Examinations in over 150 countries worldwide. Cambridge Examinations assess candidates’ ability to communicate effectively in English by testing all four language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Thousands of universities, companies and government agencies around the world recognise Cambridge Certificates as proof of your level of English.

Which exam is best for me?

When you register with us or on your first day, you will take a short test to assess your level of English. Based on the test results and our interview with you, our advisors will recommend the best class for you and advise which exam would be most appropriate for you.

We offer preparation courses for Cambridge General English Exams, levels pre-intermediate to proficiency (KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE).

We can also prepare you for the Cambridge Business English Exams (BEC) and Financial (ICFE) and Legal English Exams (ILEC).

What is the course like?

Throughout your studies, your progress will be closely monitored, you will be given homework and encouraged to use our free online and offline self-study materials. You will have access to past examination papers to help prepare you for what to expect in the exam and will also be given advice on exam revision and technique.

If you would like to take General English classes alongside your exam preparation course, we will try to arrange lessons to fit around your schedule. Our General English classes are designed to help you focus on improving your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, while developing pronunciation, vocabulary and social and idiomatic English.

Crest Schools of English is affiliated with London Crest Open Centre, which is one of the largest Cambridge ESOL examination centres in the UK. Crest Schools of English students benefit by receiving a 10% discount off the exam fee (from January 2013).
