    • Discuss the ingredients, techniques and skills that will be used for the day.
    • Demonstration of the recipes to be cooked, followed by a Q&A session.
  • 10.00 Mise en place. Supervised practical session where you will cook several dishes.
  • 12.30 Present dishes to tutors for marking.
  • 13.00 Lunch – possible the dishes you have just prepared.
  • 13.45 Demo and practical session with Tutor or Guest Demonstrator.
  • 16.40 End of day.

Cooks Academy has a reputation as one of the most professional cookery schools in Ireland. We have achieved this by ensuring a structured learning environment to our long courses. We also recognise that different people learn at different speeds and that learning inputs often need to be communicated in a variety of forms and sometimes simultaneously. We ensure that there is adequate time to repeat modules as 'Practise builds Confidence'. So in summary the typical day contains variation to ensure motivational levels remain high while providing enough time to make sure everyone gets through the day in a structured way but without taking the fun out of it.
