This course will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to design garden landscapes or renovate existing gardens. You will learn how to select materials and plants for landscape projects, set out and landscape a range of sites, and construct stone, brick, block and timber structures and features. You will also learn about irrigation installation and safety in the workplace

"Students must complete a total number of 15 units which comprise of 12 core units plus 3 elective units. Electives are determined by the Institute you are enrolled at. Core units are :

  • Contribute to OHS processes
  • Set out site for construction works
  • Construct landscape features using concrete
  • Construct brick and/or block structures and features
  • Construct stone structures and features
  • Implement a paving project
  • Implement a retaining wall project
  • Cost a project
  • Install drainage systems
  • Provide information on plants and their culture
  • Implement a plant establishment program
  • Construct a soil profile"

An IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent is required.
