Introduction to Christian History, Doctrine And Theology

A survey of Christian doctrine, covering at an introductory level, topics such as Creation, Sin & Evil, Redemption etc, and also providing a basic account of Christian beliefs, pointing to the interconnections between different doctrines.
Introduction to Christian Life, Ministry and Mission in Contemporary Society 1
(Personal, Spiritual and Skills Formation 1);(Missiology); (Bible & World)
Introduces students to the historical, theological and doctrinal material and the academic theological skills necessary for formulating a critical Biblical theological response to contemporary theological, doctrinal and practical issues.
Optional Modules (2 options)
Introduces students to the main features of elementary Greek grammar with reference to the text of the New Testament.
God and Creation
An introduction to Creation and Trinity: the theology of the biblical story of creation, understandings of God as Trinity in both Eastern and Western expressions, a theological response to a secular doctrine of creation, etc.
Faith and Thought in Today’s World
Includes an introduction to tools for theological reflection on context, considering the connection between faith, experience, history, philosophy and culture, and how culture influences theological thought.
A survey of non-Christian world religions drawn from Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism (according to faculty expertise).
- Full-Time students at Level 1 will study a total of 120 credits (100 compulsory and 20 optional), timetabled from Monday to Friday.
- Part-Time students in the 1st Year of Level 1 will study a total of 60 compulsory credits, timetabled on a Monday and Tuesday.
- Part-Time students in the 2nd Year of Level 1 will study 40 compulsory and 20 optional credits (60 in total), timetabled on a Thursday and Friday.
