The Automotive Technology programme is designed for people who would like to work with the most recent technology within the field of advanced electronic, hydraulic and automotive technological systems. The AP Degree programme in Automotive Technology is the first two years of a Bachelor’s programme.
The programme is based on the advanced technologies used in the development and optimisation of racing cars at all levels. Focus is on learning all elements of motorsport and gradually transferring the best ones to the civil auto industry. As an Automotive Technologist you will acquire an extensive knowledge within three core areas of the programme:
- Motorsport and optimising
- Complex fault-finding in street cars
The programme is taught in English.
Collaboration with garages and companies
Our main collaboration with the automotive sector is in connection with projects where you will meet project supervisors from the industry, but we also benefit from guest lecturers who present the most recent trends and state-of-the-art technologies.
This programme is a collaboration between the Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering and Business Academy Aarhus.
In order to qualify for admission to one of our international programmes, certain admission requirements need to be fulfilled by the applicant. Applications must be completed and sent to us with the relevant documentation for all sections.
Examples include (depending on country of education):
- Upper secondary education
- Upper secondary education plus one or two years' studies in relevant subjects at a university.
- High school diplomas from the United States followed by two years of university or college studies in relevant subjects. This also applies to applicants with a high school diploma from countries with a similar educational system
Danish applicants must have at least English B or equivalent. Other requirements are the same as for the Danish programme.
Non-Danish students must apply for admission on the same terms as Danish students. They are eligible for admission if they hold either a Danish qualifying examination or qualifications recognised or assessed as being comparable to the Danish entrance qualifications.
There is no tuition fee for Danish students, Nordic students, and students from the EU/EEA countries. Students with a permanent residence permit in Denmark or with a temporary residence permit with the possibility of obtaining a permanent residence permit in Denmark also do not pay a tuition fee.
