Associate of Science - Health Information Technology

The Health Information Technology (HIT) program provides graduates with the competencies to identify and use health information and management resources and technology to ensure that healthcare industries are able to protect, store, and retrieve patient information. The graduate will possess the technical skills to maintain a variety of healthcare data and records, to process information through coding and reimbursement techniques, to analyze data, and to safely store and protect the vital patient records. Graduates will be employable in hospitals, clinics, research facilities, and physician practices.


The Associate of Science degree may be transferred into MAU’s Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management.
